Quad Cities colleges, universities boost regional brand with billboards

A major goal of the Quad Cities’ Q2030 Regional Action Plan is to develop, attract and retain talent, and area colleges and universities definitely are doing their part.

Successful alumni of seven local higher education institutions recently appeared on billboards throughout the Quad Cities as part of a campaign to promote the impact these schools have on the community.

The signs feature graduates of Augustana College, Black Hawk College, Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, Palmer College of Chiropractic, St. Ambrose University, Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences and Western Illinois University-Quad Cities.

This marks the second installment of the “QC Colleges, Raising the QC by 4,171 Degrees” initiative launched in August. The number 4,171 represents the total number of students who graduated last year from the seven participating institutions.

The project was inspired by Make it Here Quad Cities, a product of the Q2030 Regional Branding Workgroup. Go to bit.ly/2WKZybC or qccolleges.com to learn more.

This billboard features Babina Mudbhari, a native of Nepal and graduate of Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences.
